Welcome to DecodeHer. Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Please read it carefully before using the app.

By using DecodeHer, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What Information We Collect When you set up your profile, you may choose to provide: your first name, your partner's first name, how long you have been married, whether you have children and their approximate ages, your current relationship struggles and strengths, love language preferences, and any additional context about your relationship. This information is entirely voluntary.

When you use the Perspective Translator, the text you type is sent to our secure backend server, forwarded to Anthropic's Claude AI API to generate a response, and returned to your device. We do not permanently store your translations on our servers. Your translation history is stored locally on your device only.

We may also collect your device's push notification token to deliver daily scenario notifications, and basic usage patterns (which features you use, not what you type).

Payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your credit card information.

3. How We Use Your Information We use your information to provide and personalize the app, generate AI responses, send push notifications if you opt in, and process your subscription. We do not sell your personal information, send marketing emails without consent, build advertising profiles, or share your relationship details with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Artificial Intelligence Disclosure DecodeHer uses Claude, an AI model by Anthropic. When you use the Translator, the text you type is sent to Anthropic's API servers to generate a response. We have enabled zero data retention where available, meaning your input is not stored by Anthropic beyond generating the immediate response. 5. Where Your Data Is Stored Most of your data lives on your device only — your relationship profile, lesson progress, love language results, and translation history. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. On our servers we store only your push notification token.

7. Push Notifications If you enable push notifications we store your device token to deliver daily scenarios. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device Settings and we will remove your token from our server.

8. Children's Privacy DecodeHer is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. Contact [email protected] to report any concerns.

9. Your Rights and Choices You can view and update your profile anytime in the app. To delete your data, use the Delete My Data option in the profile panel. To delete all server-side records email [email protected] and we will remove them within 30 days. California residents (CCPA) and European residents (GDPR) may contact us at [email protected] to exercise their rights. We do not sell personal information.

10. Data Security All data transmitted uses HTTPS encryption. We do not store sensitive relationship details on our servers. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

11. Changes to This Policy We may update this policy from time to time. The Last Updated date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
